On November 22, 2012, local time, the Nicaraguan Government announced the result of the global bidding of national full-service telecommunications licenses. XINWEI INTELCOM. NIC S.A. won the bid with advanced technology and profound strength to obtain full-service operations in the licenses and related frequencies needed by Nicaragua full-service telecommunications networks, marking XINWEI INTELCOM’s full access to Central America telecommunications market. According to the plan, Nicaragua telecommunications networks will adopt McWiLL® technology with wholly Chinese owned IPR to launch large-scale network construction in 2013 and start rollout in 2014. This program absorbs some 0.3 billion U.S. dollars’ total investment and is planned to provide full-service telecommunications services including voice , data, video, trunking and Internet access to Nicaraguan government, enterprises and other organizations.
